01How we approach it
Reliability is mostly the ability to undo things.
Teams that are frightened of deploying are usually not frightened of the code. They are frightened because they cannot see what broke and cannot get back to the last good state quickly. Every deployment then accumulates risk until releases become quarterly events, which makes them riskier still.
We fix the loop: containerised builds, CI that actually gates, one-command deploys, health checks, monitoring that pages a human for the right reasons, and a rollback that works when someone is tired. Nothing exotic — just consistently there.

Backups you have restored from at least once, and a rollback path documented before it is needed.
